A person’s biological sex that is brought to mind each time the bladder is emptied. “Gender” is often used as a label for sexual preferences including a preference for the gender one would like to be or to be identified as. It may also refer to the ways people use their gender but that too is a corruption of the heretofore well-established meaning of the word.
